Abstract

Abstract: We had carried out the test of acute toxicity, accumulative toxicity and mutagenic assays of Mai Tong LingⅡ.All the results were negtive. But, whether it can be used for a long-term treatment still needs to be determined. Thus we carried out a study of sub-chronic toxicity test(the 90-day feeding test).The results showed that in the parameters of growth ratio,coefficieny of food utilization,routine and specific tests of blood, OW/BW ratio and pathological examinations,there were no significant statistical differences between the experimental animals and controls,This study shows that long-term use has no ill-effects to the rats.
