Influence of Jiawei Xiaoke Kang on expression of fibronectin laminin and collagen Ⅳ expression in rats with diabetic nephropathy

Abstract

Abstract: Objective To observe the effects of Jiawei Xiaoke Kang on the expression of fibronectin(FN), laminin(LN) and collagen Ⅳ in renal tissue of rats with diabetic nephropathy. Methods Diabetic nephropathy was induced after unilateral nephrectomy by streptozocin(STZ) and the DN rats were randomly divided into normal control group, DN model group, western medicine treated group and Chinese traditional medicine group. The rats in Chinese traditional medicine group were perfused with Jiawei Xiaoke Kang. The rats in the western medicine group were perfused with Losartan. And the normal control group and model group rats were perfused with the same amount of distilled water. All the rats were perfused for 12 weeks. The rats were sacrificed at the end of 12 week. Immunohistochemistry was adopted to detect the expression of FN,LN and collagen Ⅳ in renal tissues. Results The Jiawei Xiaoke Kang can reduced FN, LN and collagen Ⅳ expression. Conclusion Jiawei Xiaoke Kang has therapeutic effect on DN rates.
