2(RS)-D-Gluco-(1',2',3',4',5'-Pentahydroxypentyl)Thiazolidine-4(R)-Carboxylic Acid has been synthesized by condensation between D-glucose and L-cysteine.Using this compound as ligand we prepared five novel metal complexes.They are complexes of Zn(Ⅱ), Fe(Ⅱ),Mn(Ⅱ),Cu(Ⅱ),Ni(Ⅱ),respectively.Their composition and structure were char-acterized and studied by molar conductivity,element analysis,thermogravimetry,infrared and UV-spectra.

SOD was detected with the methods of pyrogallol autoxidation method in the rat of 3～ 4 months,7～8 months and 12～13 months.The results were 11 409±994,11 098±636 and 10 310±960U/g Hb respectively.SOD was decreasing while the age increasing.SOD in the rat of 12～13 months was decreased obviously comparing to the rat of 3～4 months. 49 cases(24 condylomata acuminata,25 condylomalike vulvar lesions)are examined for HPV DNA type by Dot and Southern Blot hybridization.75% of condylomata acuminata is positive,and 88.9% of positive cases is HPV11 type while 11.1% is of HPV 16 type.Com-paring with condylomata acuminata,only 32% of 25 condylomalike vulvar lesions contains HPV type 11 DNA.The classification,diagnostic criteria of condylomata acuminata as well as eitiology of condylomalike vulvar lesions are discussed.

In this paper,the antibacterial effect of chitosan on infection was reported.The Kun-ming mice receiving on intraperitoneal injection of chitosan in the dosage of 300mg per kilo-gram body weight for three times were then infected in the abdominal cavity by staphylococ-cus aureus or E.coli.The condition of health of mice was observed.It was found that the weight and number of death of the mice pretreated with chitosan were significantly different from that of control group(P<0.05).Chitosan in vitro has no direct bactericidal effect.It is indicated that chitosan has the antibacterial effect by immunomodulation.

The cortex and medula of the adrenal glands can be observed day 1th after birth.The cortex consists of the gloerlosal,fasciculatal and reticularal zonae.The 3β-hydroxy steroid de-hydroenase(3β-HSDH)and adiposes were rich in all zonae.After days 35th at birth,the males were different from the females.The cortex of females were three zonae too,but the reticularal zonae were thinner than days 35th before.The 3β-HSDH and adiposes showed weakly.In males,reticularal zonae did not showed.Between the fasciculatal zonae and medul-la there is a connective tissue's membrane which membrane did not contain the 3β-HSDH and the adipose.

The fourth instar larvae of Anopheles arthropophagus were treated with two low dosages(1.393nmol/L and 0.697nmol/L)of fendona,and the hemolymph was collected from 2～3 days after male and female mosquitoes.The amounts of trace elements,such as iron(Fe),zion(Zn),eupper(Cu),mangamese(Mn)and cromium(Cr)were detected by cou-pled plasma emission spechrometer(ICAP).The amounts of Fe,Zn,Mn and Cr increased with the concertration of fendona increase,Fe and Zn were with striking significant differ-ence(P<0.01).Especially showed the components of the five trace elements in hemolymph of two treated groups mosquitoes were more than the control groups.The results showed that the low dosages of fendona could influence on the amounts of some kinds of trace ele-ments in Anopheles arthropophagus adults,which emerged from instar larvae treating with the drug fluid.

According to the Lobb and Fett's mehtod,endothelial cell growth factor has been puri-fied homogeneously from bovine brain by heparin affinity chromatograph in our labratory. The results of culturing human umbilical vein endothelial cells show that our purifed en-dothelial cell growth factor is highly effective in stimulating the growth of endothelial cells.

With immunohistochemistry,immunoelectronmicroscopy and high pressure liquid chro-matography-radio-immunoassay methods,We have studied the pericardium of humans and Wistar rats.The presence of angiotensin Ⅱ and atrial natriuretic factor like materials(ANF-LMs)was demonestrated in the pericardium.Gold particles were found in some granular ar-eas of the cytoplasm of mesothelial cells with antihuman-ANF.Mesothelial cells appeared the principal endocrinesecreting ones.There were Ang Ⅱ and three molecular forms of ANF in the pericardium.It was suggested that beyond the known functions,there were important endocrine functions related to pericardium.

Lumbrokinase is a new antithrombotic drug.We have treated 223 patients with cerebral infarction using this drug.Random sampling and double blind method were adopted.The re-sults revealed that the total effective rate was 93.72%,with the obvious effective rate being 70.40%.Fibrogen,euglobulin lysis time,blood viscosity,plasma viscosity and platelet aggre-gating function were reduced in the treated group.The side effect hasn't be found,thus, lumbrokinase is a nontoxic and safe drug.

97 cases of transmural myocardial infarction(MI)and 10 cases of non-transmural MI were studied by radionuclide SPECT myocardial imaging using ^99mTc-CPI or MIBI and com-pared with the results of EKG.Our study showed that the amount of abnormal segments was 167 and 143 in SPECT myocardial imaging and EKG respectively in transmural MI,so the detecting ability of SPECT was higher.In the 97 cases of transmural MI,84 cases showed significantly abnormal using SPECT,13 cases showed abnormal.In the 10 cases of non-transmural MI,5 cases showed abnormal,4 cases suspicious abnormal and 1 cases was normal.If the significant abnormal manifestation was used as the diagnostic criterion,the de-tectable rate using SPECT for transmural MI was 86.6%,and 0 for non-transmural MI 0.

Application of Castor Oil Emulsion for Induction of Labor at Term

Castor oil emulsion was compared with oxytocin infusion for induction of labor in term pregnancies.A total of 74 pregnant women were randomly allocated to receive castor oil emulsion(n=37)or oxytocin infusion(n=37).Success rate was not significantly different in castor oil emulsion group(30/37,81.1%)compared with oxytocin infusion group(24/37,64.9%).The induction-contraction and induction-delivery intervals were calculated as 27.0 and 35.9h in castor oil emulsion group,2.5 and 15.0h in oxytocin group.The conclu-sion was castor oil emulsion and oxytocin infusion were similar in their efficacy and safety. Castor oil emulsion need longer time to go into effect than oxytocin,but this effect was en-during.

Observations of changes in heart rate and cardiac rhythem on patients with sinus brady-cardia(SB)and sick sinus syndrome(SSS)by ambulatory ECG(AECG)have been done in our lab,after electrophysiology study and drug test.The results showed that:1.There are signicant differences in all criterias between SB and SSS.2.Patients with SSS are more apt to be complicated with cardiac arrhythmias than thoes with SB,according to the above men-tioned results,the diagnostic criteria were established in this paper.

Human embryonic lung diploid fibroblasts(HELDF)in vitro were used as experiment materials.Whe the cells were subcultured for 27 generations,they were divided into two groups,medicine-treated group(B)which was supplemented with Astragalus membranaceus Bunge(AMB),and control group(C).The two groups were subcultured at same condition until the cells ceased proliferating.In the meantime,at regular intervals,the proliferation a-bility and SOD contents of two groups were determined with the flow cytometry and the chemiluminescence method respectively.The routine chromosome test and the measurement of the survival time in one generation were also taken at same time.Our results showed that the cells of group B were subcultured for 77 generations while the cells of group C only for 52 generations.The HELDF of two groups maintained their diploidy from the beginning of subculture to the end.The proliferation ability,SOD contents and the survival time of two groups decrease gradually with the increase of generations.But at the same generation the proliferation ability,SOD contents and the survival time of group B was higher than those of group C and this difference became more obvious with the increase of generations.
