Two groups of vascular strips were prepared with aorta thorcalis of the rat.The vascu-lar endothelium was intact in one group and removed in the other. The two types of prepara-tions were superfused with Tyrod's solution.Under the background of the vascular contrac-tion induced by NE(10-7 mol/L) or high K+ (50 mmol/L) bear bile caused a similar,dose-dependent relaxation in both groups.Bear bile of 0.5 mg/L could completely counteract the vascular contraction induced by NE but reduced the developed tension, caused by perfusate containing K+ of 50 mmol/L by 50%.The relaxant effect of bear bile in both groups of vas-cular strips were not significant(P>0.1).This study suggested that the relaxant effect of bear bile on the blood vessel was not depended on the presence of the vascular endothelium.

In this paper,we use infant rats for epidermal floating culture and find that glysine ob-viosly enhanced the distance of epidermal cells' wandering. This effect is related to the con-centration of glycine and culture duration. The experiment indicates that glycine may proba-bly promote the wandering, thus it will be helpful for the wound healing of the skin.

The pattern of vascular reconstruction of graft was studied by observing the time-de-pendent growth of vessel, vascular construction and the relationship between blood supply and graft survival. The benzidin-stein techique was employed to present vessel and result was analysed with electron computer imaging analysis. The vascular density increased gradually from 5 to 10 days after transplantation, and it appeared the densest from 15 to 30 days, with the mean diameter of vessles becoming the thickest too. Both the vascular density and mean diamater got lower beyond 30 days survival. The vessels grew from periphery to the center, but it's unevenly distributed. In most cases, vascular deusity was high in areas with more survived neural cells. The vessels within grafts were thicker in diameter, but less in density than those within homologous normal area of brain.Within the areas neithbouring to grafts or demaged sites of the control group, vessels regenerated evidently and vescular diameter in-creased.They grew in the direction toward graft or lesioned area.

The effect of on phagocytosis activity was observated in abdominal macrophage of mice. This study demonstrated that Dingduwan and its main component defatted croton seed pow-der can inhibit the phagocytosis of abdominal macrophage in mice.It indicates that Ding-duwan might produce a side-effect of inhibiting immunologic function when used for clinical treatment.

We carried out the teratogeuic test with mycobacterial polysaccharides (MPS).The in-crease of body weight of pregnant mice and the number of living, absorbed and died embryos in all the three groups administered with different doses(345.0 μg/kg,172.5 μg/kg and 87.0 μg/kg) showed no obvious difference from those of negative control group(P>0.05). The body length, body weight and tail length in the three dose groups are relatively similar as those of negative control group. No deformity of external appeacance, internal organs and bones was found. The results show that in the doses used is our experiment MPS has no ter-atogenie effect. Thus,we think that it is safe to use MPS during gestation.

Angiotensin converting enzyme(ACE)inhibitor,Captapril(CAP),is a potent antihy-pertensive agent. Some reports suggest that CAP stimulates TXA2 synthesis in the patients with essential hypertension.Sodium ferulate(SF)inhibits TXA2 synthesis. In present study, the influence of SF on hypotensive effect and urinary exceretion of TXB2(a stable metabolite of TXA2)after CAP was observed in 44 patients with essential hypertension.A single oral dose of CAP(50 mg)decreased mean arterial pressure (from 16.25+0.85 to 13.65+1.1.14 kPa,n=28,P<0.01)and increased urinary TXB2 excretion significantly(from 119.12+ 57.12 to 183.32+78.61 pg/min,n=16,P<0.05).The administration of SF 300 mg/day for one day did not affect the mean arterial pressure.CAP in combination with SF induced a decrease both in mean arterial pressure(from 16.33+1.14 to 13.83+1.77 kPa,n=16,P< 0.01)and urinary TXB2 excretion(from 155.89+69.64 to 133.43+60.01 pg/min,n=16, P>0.05),though the latter was not so significant.Compared with the administration of CAP alone, the combination of CAP and SF induced stronger hypotensive effect(P<0.05) and the increased urinary TXB2 excretion could be inhibited by SF.But the inhibition to ACE was the same. These results suggested that the increased urinary TXB2 excretion by CAP can be inhibited and the hypotensive effect of CAP is potentiated by SF in essential hy-pertensive patients.

Ninety nine cases among 1 195 aged hospitalized patients suffered form nosocomial in-fection(8.3%)with 7% mortality rates. The principal sites of infection were lower respira-tory tract,(54.1%),urinary tract(17.2%)and gastrointestimal tract(16.5%).235 rods were isolated. The most common species was the G(-)bacilli,Klebsiella,Pseudomonas and Enterobac.Accounting for 73.6% of all the rods. Many G(-)rods were resistant to com-monly used antibiotics. The aged patients were particularly susceptible to infection because of deficiency in their immunologic function, the occurrence of more than one underlying di-seases,administration of antibiotics, and relative long hospitalization etc.Nosocomial infec-tion in elderly is often attributable to members of the endogenous human microflora that happen to be the particularly resistant to antibiotics and presenting difficult management problems.Policies to control hospital infection in aged patients may consist of improvement of hygienie condition in hospital, strict sterization and disinfection, treating underlying dis-eases,improving patient's immune status whenever possible, and selecting appropriate antibi-otics.

The soluble antigen used was obtained from homogenates of T.spiralis larvea and fast-enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(Fast-ELISA)was adopted in this test for diagnos-ing trichinosis.Forty nine cases of trichinosis were examined and all of them showed positive reaction.Sera of 100 healthy persons gave negative results. All 71 sera from other parasitic diseases showed negative results except schistosomiasis with a relatively high cross reaction rate of 23.5%.Epicdemiologieal survey for trichinosis by fast-ELISA method was conducted in 371 employees working with pork handling and 258 slaughtered pigs naturally infected with T.spiralis in Xinye county,Henan province. The results of antibody examination were correlated with clinical and laboratory findings. The reproducbility was demonstrated to be good by analysing coefficient of variation. No significant changes occurred when antigen was kept in room temperature for 12 weeks or treated by heat(37℃ 30 min,56℃ 30 min,64℃ 30 min,100℃ 1,2,3 min,in water bath). The experimental results were analysed with con-trol graph of sheward.

We first reported in literature the syuthesize of high purity and biologically active ACEI oetapeptide with solid phase method. The resulta of the study on the relationship between depressive action on blood pressure of ACEI and brain natiuretic peptide(BNP)showed that: 1)ACEI octopeptide inhibited significantly ACE level of plasma and membrane fraction of lung tissue in rats.IC50 was 10μmol/L and 5 μmol/L respectively;2)although ACEI admin-istrated(60 μg/0.6 ml/kg)by iv rapidly could supress blood pressure and aldosterone con-centration of plasma in rats, icy injection of ACEI(6μg/0.6ml.kg-)was found no effect on blood pressure;3)tiny amount of ACEI octapeptid with no influence on plasma AT-Ⅰand aldosterone concentration increased the hypotensive effect of BNP,and 4)BNP or its fragments was found inhibitive on human plasma ACE activity. We conclude that our result may play an important role in the studies of renin-angioleusin system and physio-pathology of hyperteusive diseases.

Plasma estradiol(E2)and malondialdehyde(MDA)were examined in women, and the results demonstrated that E2 level decreased and MDA content increased in menopausal wo-men,showing a negative correlalivity between E2 and MDA.In animal experiment we found that E2 was decreased while MDA in liver and uterine homogenates was increased,adminis-tration of estrogen reversed the change of MDA in liver and uterus, and the range of change of MDA in uterus with E2 was more significant than that in liver. The results suggest that E2 may possess the antioxidative effect. Therefore, the manifestations of senescence are probably related with the increase of MDA resulting from the decrease of E2 level.

Isolated colonic tuberculosis is defined as a tuberculosis which exists in the colon except for ileoeaecum, without focus in any other organ. It is very rare and usually may be misdiag-nosed as colonic malignent tumor or other infectious diseases.Seven patients of isolated colonic tuberculosis were treated at our hospital.Although there are no specific diagnostic motheds for it,we suggest that it is helpful to find isolated colonic tuberculosis by means of multipieces of histological and bacterical examination. The first choice of treatment is anti-tu-berculosis therapy, but the complications such as bleeding, perforation and obstruction may need surgery.
